Information Security Engineer – SOC

You will act as the security lead on third line SOC activities and investigations, including taking a risk based approach to technical issues. 

As SME, you will be maintain and support the entire technical infrastructure within the SOC. This is to include continuous improvement, and fine tuning of security analytics and operational processes. You must ensure business requirements are met through improved security solutions as well as mitigating threats. 

Through your position as an expert within security operations your role will extend to mentoring other members of the SOC team.

SIEM Security Auditor – Financial Services

  • Role: SIEM Security Auditor

Within this role a key responsibility will be to design new solutions and improve existing ones, while also continuously improving the existing security log management processes. In addition, you will be working closely with the company's SIEM solutions; Splunk and MS SQL, configuring the scripts in order to release accurate outputs. 

It is essential that you have experience using Splunk or a similar security analytics product, while also having an extensive knowledge of managing incidents and troubleshooting. You will also need strong scripting skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and delivering security assignments, including producing documentation and reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A track record of previous industry cyber experience, including business development or sales
  • Cyber Security related qualification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, ISO Lead Auditor etc
  • An understanding of security methodologies, best practice and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral (for interviews/meetings, presentations) and written (for designing and writing reports which can communicate findings and clearly convey the message).

Security Operations Analyst

My client is a top global retailer who is looking for a security operations analyst to join their growing information security team. This comes as a result of the company being completely immersed in online operations and leading their sales via their 3 separate, hugely popular ecommerce websites.

This role will require the candidate to be familiar with identifying vulnerabilities in an existing system, relying heavily on their risk management skills to do so, while then being able to further this by applying their knowledge of threat prevention and intrusion detection systems (IDS) to ensure protection. The candidate will also need to be able to have a clear knowledge of security policy and compliance, allowing them to then practice detecting any violations using log management platforms such as SIEM.
