CREST

CREST is the not-for-profit organisation representing the technical information security industry. CREST provides internationally recognised accreditation for organisations and certifies individuals providing penetration testing, cyber incident response and security architecture services. Member companies undergo a rigorous assessment and certification process that looks at methodologies, legal and regulatory standards, staff vetting and data handling. CREST qualified individuals have passed challenging professional level examinations that demonstrate their knowledge, skill and competence.  Company assessments and individual qualifications are underpinned by a strict and enforceable code of conduct.  All examinations and processes have been reviewed and approved by CESG.

IISP

The Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) is a not-for-profit organisation, owned by its members and dedicated to raising the standard of professionalism in information security and the industry as a whole. The IISP does this through accrediting skills and competence, by sharing best practice and by providing a network of support and guidance for individual skills development. We provide an authoritative voice and our competency-based memberships are widely recognised in the information security industry.

Working closely with the information security community, the IISP has a growing membership of 2000 Individual Members and 32 Corporate Member Organisations across both private and government sectors. Within the UK there is an active local branch network with 10 regional branches, whilst our Academic Partner programme has 13 member universities and is actively encouraging students to join the Institute. Our membership range is tailored to support and reflect the experience and skills of professionals at all stages of their career. Our Accredited Training Programme has a portfolio of courses assessed by subject matter experts.
